Title: Increasing the IC nature of Customs
Post by: azzan on 08/16/07, 07:05
How about having to find components for customs - instead of just harvesting tokens. For example - if you wanted to add the vampiric affect to a dagger - you would have to find the proper item and have it in your inventory when you added it (ie - vampire blood?) or dragons blood for flaming - you get the idea. Basically gives us something to RP w/ and keep the token requirments as they are. (Suppose there could be a shop in some remote area that sold this stuff - or they could be drops or something?)

no shop but maybe some rare drops

Thats kind of what i was thinking - but then we're going to just increase the already high cost of making a custom - unless the immies go for that shops - or perhaps just common drops - would be the way to go i think. Maybe making some more rare then others (like sanctuary and travel - and perhaps some of the more powerful superflags).

thalia and I kinda liked this, but perhaps instead of replacing current flagging options with this instead of tokens, maybe doing something else with it like adding more flags to customs down the road.
