grouping and XP idea

Grouping and Xping should be more dynamic to help sustain the interest of 2-5 players on at a time.

What if there was a way to 'down your level' for one log in session?
Like if you have a 275 and there are three level 60's on.
You could 'down your level' and group with them.

Give you an opportunity to get runes and mods etc, and help them out.  You would have all your gear and legendaries, however your damcap and armorcap would dumb down to that level too and you wouldn't be able to go around and hit level 200 things.

This would greatly encourage more groups to spend time together and keep people interested in logging in.

Really don't know if this is doable code-wise, but other factors would be ...

- skills/spells would be limited to & cast at modified level
- equipment would be limited to modified level
- runic adjustments would be limited to modified level

... but again, really not sure about the code.

Finding a way for people to group together eliminating the level/tier gap would help sustain the smaller PBASE and build up RP and use the cool grouping system we have.

Maybe if people are in the same kingdom or religion they can group any level range.
and the xp gained is only enabled if the mobs are within 20 levels of the lowest person in the group?

Something like that.  (however everyone in the group could still get chances at mods to activate and runes etc)

- I mean if you look at wow or any other game, people can group with the lowest level, the higher and highest levels just do not gain any xp if the mobs are grayed out.  On the Mud there is no way to possibly help anyone out period... other than making an alt gearing them up or just helping them with the alt, which involves a lot of time and turns people off on the whole prospect usually.

RP wise it doesn't make sense to limit who can group with who. I mean people will know people stronger than themselves and will have opportunity to travel with them. Is there a way to allocate exp gained to take into account the difference between the highest and lowest level if we give a bigger range?

Yeah like everyone still gets whatever exp they normally would they just get it in the group, and the lowest level player dictates the level you can kill for mods and exp.

So if a level 40, 80, and 275 were grouped together.
There could be a * by the 40.  And now the exp and mod system goes off level 40 and if you kill anything 40 levels higher wouldn't garnish any xp?

I'm sure theres a way to put a simple check in once someones in a group to help make this viable.
With a lower amount of players being able to group together and play together keeps people coming around and rping, and having fun and that is something that should be a top priority ATM.
