All forms of attack are based on some elemental, or physical, attack. The damage from all attacks is then modified by resistance, either weakening the attack, or strengthening it if you are weak to the attack. While most spells are semi-obvious about their damage type (fireball, acid blast), others may have multiple damage types that aren't quite so obvious. Melee attacks are much simpler to determine the damage type of, as all melee messages have a preset resistance they correspond to, whether it be a mobile attack, or a player's weapon. The table below will list all the damage types and resistances they correspond to for reference.
