I can see where each temple having a donation pit would make sense.....chars can leave armour and weapons in there as a form of alms....sort of like having a fixed, oversized collection plate...

The Mass Equip idea is flawless.

Was just saying if someone wanted to make it automated, it could just auto equip all mass or whatever as well, but just having an option to equip all of one type of gear rather than restringing everything with a keyword (which can be a pain if you forget it).


It would be nice if the type of resistance or damtype of a weapon can be an alternate way of identifying gear.. maybe even flags they offer.
(at least for weapons that would be useful)

Finding a way for people to group together eliminating the level/tier gap would help sustain the smaller PBASE and build up RP and use the cool grouping system we have.

Maybe if people are in the same kingdom or religion they can group any level range.
and the xp gained is only enabled if the mobs are within 20 levels of the lowest person in the group?

Something like that.  (however everyone in the group could still get chances at mods to activate and runes etc)

- I mean if you look at wow or any other game, people can group with the lowest level, the higher and highest levels just do not gain any xp if the mobs are grayed out.  On the Mud there is no way to possibly help anyone out period... other than making an alt gearing them up or just helping them with the alt, which involves a lot of time and turns people off on the whole prospect usually.

To help with the armor thing, it would be nice to see like a 'tinker' command and you could use scrap gear or items, or a drop from killing things to add '1 ac' to an item, and it gets a 0/10 or whatever so you can add 10 AC to each item in addition to whatever else you can do. 

This would be another fun customization tool.

You could also add other tinker options.

Tinker ac,
tinker hp,
Tinker attack,
tinker resistance,

Let it be completely customizable and you could tinker regular gear and runic or custom gear.

It could even be items that you buy from quest mobs to utilize.

Just a thought.  Resistances seem to be fine though.

More dynamic Moxes with '+ and - resistances' would be fun.
Like a Mystic imperfect Mox ' +20 slash resistance - 10 bas resistance

Have them add +20 of one and -10 of another, and be completely randomly generated like the gem system.

Maybe theres a rare chance of a Mystic powerful mox that does +20 and +10 (but with a very rare chance)

And a mystic mox that just gives +20 of one resistance.

Really don't know if this is doable code-wise, but other factors would be ...

- skills/spells would be limited to & cast at modified level
- equipment would be limited to modified level
- runic adjustments would be limited to modified level

... but again, really not sure about the code.

So something like
.... walking blind gives you a random chance of walking in the wrong direction &/or running into a wall/tree/something (or tripping), which causes some damage.

I'd suggest adding a LISTEN skill so you could hear noise from directions.  Sort of like SCAN but you hear noise from a/some/lots of small/medium/large beings/critters to the east/west/up/down.... or something like that.

Hah!  bet'cha did you know we could split topics?

We could limit contents of donation pit to say .. runic gear, potions, herbs, pills  and usable by people under some level.   Have it decay slowly -- so something could stay there <#> days and then would disappear.  Keeps stuff fresh.

I've played games where the pits were religion specific or kingdom specific or just one central usable by everyone.

I think you're onto something here,

A) Untether religion spells to a particular rank. All members should be able to eventually faithpray their way to the highest spells.

B) Add a unique buff to everyone in a particular religion.
Athorien = Resurrect upon death with 50% hp and all buffs still in tact. (1 hour cooldown)
Syskee   = DOT to every mob in the room with you upon initiating combat. (Passive, toggle on or off)
Estrenal = Can have two familiars instead of one
Galr =  Free gate spell to any class

Etc...etc.. Something that actually changes the game dynamically and is powerful enough to make religions cool without diluting the system.
