I’ve been taking some arts/crafts/design/maker classes at the Palatine library. Yesterday we made the above macrame kit. I can’t remember the last time I did macrame — certainly during 4H in high school. I also think I may have made a plant hanger just after college, but certainly not anything since then. It was sort of frustrating because the description of the made knot wasn’t completely helpful AND they didn’t provide the instructions/diagrams to go in the reverse direction.
I finished it, but can’t say it was stellar work. Might do some macrame again in the future, but I think I’d like to do something with color and with beads. We’ll see.
